The Big Wide Welcome Art and Activity Book (Tales That Tell the Truth)

This coloring and activity book contains 32 pages of coloring, puzzles, mazes and activities for children 4-8 years old.

It is based around The Big Wide Welcome Bible Storybook by Trillia Newbell, illustrated by Catalina Echeverri, which uses the Bible's teaching on favoritism from James chapter 2 to encourage children to love and welcome people regardless of their wealth, personality or background, just like Jesus does.

There are many people in our constituency who, in a sincere effort to honor the second commandment, refrain from the use of any kind of drawings or pictures of Jesus, even if not intended for a worship context. Out of respect for those who take this position, we have sought to add a note to books in our children’s category which have drawings or depictions of Jesus so that they can factor that into their buying decisions, as they would if they could inspect the books physically.

Trillia J. Newbell is a prominent voice on issues of faith, family, and diversity and has been widely published, including on numerous websites, such as Desiring God, Christianity Today, and the Gospel Coalition. She is currently an acquisitions editor for Moody Publishers and previously worked for several years as the Director of Community Outreach for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Trillia lives near Nashville with her husband, Thern, and their children.

Catalina Echeverri is a Colombian freelance illustrator specializing in children's books. She is based in London, UK, and illustrated the bestselling The Garden, The Curtain and the Cross.
