What if we can learn to embrace the nearness of God in the midst of our suffering? What if God’s good plan is to work through our trials rather than simply take them away?

Having lived for more than twenty years with a debilitating nerve condition in both arms, Dave Furman shows us that trials are always designed for our good. He doesn’t minimize the hardship of suffering, but infuses significance into it, demonstrating that, even when we’re tossed to and fro by stormy waves, God is near and that makes all the difference in the world.
