About the Author

Harvie M. Conn (1933-1999) was professor of missions at Westminster Theological Seminary from 1972 to his retirement in 1998. Before joining the WTS faculty, he was a missionary to Korea for twelve years. He wrote and edited many books, including Eternal Word and Changing Worlds and Evangelism: Doing Justice and Preaching Grace.

Manuel Ortiz (MA, Wheaton Graduate School; DMin, Westminster Theological Seminary) is professor of ministry and urban mission at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he has taught since 1986.

Susan S. Baker (MA, PhD, Temple University) is urban research assistant and adjunct lecturer in practical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary.
