If you could gain a working knowledge of any book of the Bible in three months which one would it be? Written by respected pastors and teachers, these short studies are faithful introductions and guides through scripture. They each feature contextual and historical insights as well as questions for reflection that can be used in an individual or a group setting.

The Knowing the Bible series is a resource designed to help Bible readers better understand and apply God's Word. These 12-week studies lead participants through books of the Bible and are made up of four basic components:

(1) reflection questions help readers engage the text at a deeper level;
(2) "Gospel Glimpses" highlight the gospel of grace throughout the book;
(3) "Whole-Bible Connections" show how any given passage connects to the Bible's overarching story of redemption, culminating in Christ; and
(4) "Theological Soundings" identify how historic orthodox doctrines are taught or reinforced throughout Scripture.

With contributions from an array of influential pastors and church leaders, these gospel-centered studies will help Christians see and cherish the message of God's grace on every page of the Bible.

The book of Joshua records a key period in the outworking of God's plan to redeem his people from slavery in Egypt. At God's command and under Joshua's leadership, the nation of Israel invaded Canaan--the land God had promised his people. In this study, pastor Trent Hunter offers readers rich insights into the book's overarching story of salvation and the ultimate rest offered to all who trust in Christ for salvation-- helping them apply its message to their lives today.
