March is Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the contributions and achievements of women throughout history. But in a world full of mixed messages about beauty, success, and identity, it’s more important than ever for girls to be rooted in what God says about them.
This list of biblically faithful books is designed to help girls understand their worth, purpose, and identity in Christ—rather than being shaped by the shifting standards of the world. Whether for daughters, granddaughters, or young women in your life, these books provide truth, encouragement, and a firm foundation in God's Word.
Ages: 2-5 year olds
Rachael Denhollander's tender-hearted anthem to little girls everywhere, teaching them that they have immeasurable worth because they are made in the image of God. Armed with this understanding, girls will develop confidence in their own value and blossom into women who can face any challenge life puts in their path
Ages: 3-5 year olds
Deeply biblical and visually engaging, this picture book uses lyrical rhymes to help children understand that their true identity is not found in their preferences, past actions, or current emotions. Instead, it is rooted in their relationship with their Creator and Savior.
Follow along as a little girl learns from her mother all about real women from the Bible and later history. Together they imagine lots of different ways in which we can reflect God's character and help those around us today, whether that's through being a mum or a missionary, a truck driver or a teacher!
Young girls will learn that they have been carefully designed by God and that whatever they do in life, they can reflect who God is by following Jesus.
Ages: 9-12 year olds
This devotional traces the theme of beauty to help young readers know and love the one who created them in his likeness. Each reading includes a portion of a poem, a related Bible verse, a concise devotion, and a brief prayer. As young readers marvel at the beauty of God, they will be transformed, learning that the more they appreciate God's beauty, the more beautiful they will become.
Ages: 13+
If a young woman is trying to figure out who she is, there’s no better place to start than by looking in God’s Word. After all, God is the one who made her. This monthlong devotional will help teens build a strong foundation for the person you’re meant to be, experiencing all the peace and security that comes from rooting your identity in Jesus.
Ages: For the parents and caretakers
Even adults can have troubling knowing who we are. The world loves to label us - by our gender, by our ethnicity, by our job - but as Christians our identity is not in those labels. We are 'in Christ'. We are united to him by faith. This devotional digs into what that means, how it impacts our lives, and why it matters most who God says we are.
