"It belongs to the truth of our Lord's humanity, that he was subject to all sinless human emotions." So begins Warfield's classic treatment of the emotional life of the Lord Jesus Christ. In this reprint, containing all its rich footnotes, the Lion of Princeton explores what the gospels reveal about Jesus' emotions of compassion, love, anger, joy, and sorrow. Ultimately, this study of Jesus' human emotions proves His true humanity, reminds us how the man Christ Jesus has delivered us from every manifestation of evil, and motivates us to live according to God's will even in our emotional lives. A Foreword by Dr. Guy Prentiss Waters introduces Warfield and this work to the reader.
