Log College Press

Log College Press is named for the first American Presbyterian "seminary," the Log College. This ministerial training school was started around 1726 in Pennsylvania by William Tennent and was an indirect forerunner of Princeton Seminary, the first official seminary of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America, along with many other academic institutions in our country. From its humble beginnings in the early 18th century, Presbyterianism in America has been committed to an educated ministry that would be able to teach God's truth to God's people. Presbyterian pastors and teachers not only preached from pulpits and taught in classrooms, they also wrote books, pamphlets, newspaper and journal articles, and letters.
